More than just good wine!

After starting a wine tour at 10am, let's face it, any food is good! After a visit to Brokenwood winery followed by Tulloch, we pulled up at Lindemans for lunch and another wine tasting. Having lunch included in our wine tour ($95 with Hunter Valley Day Tours) was a huge plus and the quailty and quanity of food did not disappoint!

We started with a knot loaf served with balsamic, oil and Dukka followed by a fresh and crisp Pear and Rocket salad. Before we knew it, out came 3 woodfired pizzas to share between the 10 of us and some smashed chats with sour cream. We also had a glass of wine or beer included in our meals.

Our first woodfired pizza was full of cheesy goodness with a great onion flavour added from the Spanish onions. Then came a ham and field mushoom, a deep earthy flavour which went well with my Lindemans Semillon. Our final and yummiest pizza, Chorizo, tomato and rocket, with the perfect amount of spice to leave you hanging for... just one more piece!

Great experience, and many of the local wine makers in the area also make the trip to Lindemans just for the pizza! Highly recommended if in the area!

Killer food with a view to match!

I have always heard good things about Jonahs so I was excited to finally get the opportunity to go, thanks to my lovely boss! Taking our experience a little further, we decided to go via seaplane. The 20 minute ride from Rose Bay to Whale Beach was spectacular with the most amazing views of the harbour and coastal beaches!

Upon arriving at whale beach, Jonahs had a car ready to pick us up and take us up the hill to the restaurant. We arrived at midday and headed out to the balcony for a cocktail. The view is amazing with lounge chairs and umbrelllas to relax under, it's hard to imagine that you are at a restaurant.

With the seaplane experience ($505), you are entitled to 3 courses plus any sides that you want. Drinks are a seperate expense. The service was friendly and professional. Our glasses were always full be it water or wine with the arrival of food timed perfectly!
